An opportunity to travel through Southern Africa on one of the most luxurious trains in the world. Rovos Rail offers 8 different journeys, ranging in length from 3 to 15 days. There are three types of accommodation on board the train, all have an en-suite bathrooms: Royal Suites, 16sqm with ready-made king bed, private lounge area, bath as well as separate shower: Deluxe Suites, 11sqm with twin or double beds, lounge area and shower: Pullman Suites, 7sqm with sofa-seat during the day which is converted into single, double or bunk bed in the evenings, en-suite bathroom with shower

Itinerary
Day 1 – Pretoria
Board the train for a mid-afternoon departure from the Rovos Rail Station in Pretoria. You will be greeted by a smartly dressed steward who will take care of your luggage and escort you to one of the train’s saloons for welcome refreshments. You will have time to settle into your suite before enjoying dinner on board.
Day 2 – Kimberley
Morning arrival into Kimberley Station where guests disembark for a morning tour of the town’s interesting and historic sites, including the Big Hole and the Diamond Mine Museum. Lunchtime departure from Kimberley, proceeding overnight via De Aar and Beaufort West to Matjiesfontein. Breakfast, lunch and dinner is included today.
Day 3 – Cape Town
Morning visit to the historic village of Matjiesfontein, an attractive town with a main street lined with white-washed Victorian houses and the colonial Lord Milner hotel is a notable building. The town used to serve as something of an oasis in the 1880s when James Douglas Logan built the historic buildings as a country health resort for the rich and famous. Mid-morning departure for Cape Town via Touws River and Worcester. Arrive into Cape Town at 1800. Breakfast and lunch included today.
